Utah’s Gym for MMA Fitness and Conditioning

“Conditioning is the greatest hold.”

Karl Gotch

Our Fitness and Conditioning program is built on the principles of old school, hardcore, functional martial art fitness.

The goal for each member is to be a fitter and healthier martial artist. Its a combination of bodyweight exercises, weight training, and both grappling and striking martial art skills.

Every workout is different and can be scaled and varied to each individual’s fitness level. So, whether you want to have stronger kicks or harder punches or maybe just want to increase your physical ability to be a better martial artist, this is a fun, exciting, and effective way to train outside of your normal martial arts classes.

We’ve used these methods to train all our athletes from the local level all the way to the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) for nearly 20 years.

Each class or WOD (Workout of the Day) is scheduled for 60 minutes. However, because of the ability to scale and vary the duration, some workouts might be shorter some might be longer in duration.

Every class begins with a brief 10-minute warm-up divided up into 2 sections the first 5-minute warmup is a run/jog or jump rope, the second being a 5-minute warmup of mobility or bodyweight exercise to get the body prepared for the workout.

The main workout is 10-40 minutes long and varies from day to day. Each class contains a 10-minute period to cool down and is made up of 5 minutes of jump rope or a run/jog and 5 minutes to stretch, to hang, foam roll, or just recover from the workout.
